Overview:

Group Black created an experiential activation in the heart of Brandweek in Miami to highlight the company's work around the celebration of the upcoming 50 year anniversary of Hip-Hop. Phil Neves was responsible for creating the core concept for the activation - an old school pop-up vinyl store and lounge. The space was available for festival attendees to kick back and immerse themselves in the history of Hip-Hop by exploring a library of vintage vinyls. At night guest DJs like Maseo of De La Soul surprised guests with classic hits for happy hour. Phil created all the branding and design elements throughout the space and helped craft the keynote presentation on the main stage that highlighted the Group Black media programs surrounding Hip-Hop 50. In addition to the vinyl lounge Phil created all of the branding for the marquee event of the week, a yacht party headlined by Kid Capri. Phil hired and managed a video and photography crew to capture the events, and worked with them to create a cohesive look and feel for the content. The footage was used to create a variety of marketing materials, including social media posts, website videos, and press releases.
